I love the UK, especially England. I was wondering which is a good area to buy a house. I dont want a very expensive house. I wanna buy a house/ flat in a quiet area with green around (trees, grass). I want it to be near a big city with shopping malls and shops. Even if u propose me a city i dont mind just tell me some good areas.

Staines. Ali G lives there. It sounds pretty wicked.

I would say Oxford - it is small, friendly, and very green. Although, it is quite pricey, especially in the centre surrounds. South Northamptonshire is quite cheap - try looking at houses in the Daventry area, it has one of the lowest crime rates and insurance rates in the country. Warwickshire is very scenic and very green, and cheaper to buy a house than in Oxfordshire. These areas are all in close proximity to a variety of towns and cities, and even some tourists spots, but don't have the usual hectic hustle and bustle that bigger cities like London and Birmingham have.

Live near Manchester! There's the Peak District all around, which is absolutely beautiful, and then you're near Manchester, Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, and loads of other absolutely beautiful places! If not, then go to Chester, that's a bit quieter than Manchester.

I would say Oxford, in the Summertown area of the city.
