I am moving to England to live with my boyfriend while he finishes his school. I just wanted to know what kind of visa i would need and how do i got about getting it. I have heard people saying that i could get married but my boyfriend is not British, he is from italy. So i dont know if that still counts. He is just going to the school. So yea, about the visa...........?...Thanks

As an American citizen you can come to the UK for a maximum of 6 months before you need a visa. But be warned, when you arrive at immigration you will have to prove that you have enough money to support yourself for the length of your stay because you will not be allowed to work. It's not cheap living here and if you can't prove that you have the means to support yourself you will be put on the first plane back home.
