How much does it cost to live in England

How much does it cost to live in England?
How much does it cost to live in England? I know it varies greatly but could someone give me price quote on someone: -Living in London. -Living in area right outside of London. If I am looking for a: -1 bedroom or studio place just for one person(me) -Should be in a decent neighborhood -I am in my early adult ages(18) -Should be a culturally diverse area. Any & all info will be very much appreciated. (10 pts)

ummm...its definiatly diverse...living in London in NOT cheap....i'd say that for living on your own you looking at at least 500-1000 pounds (about 1000-2000 dollars for a decent neighborhood... I lived in a school dormitory...living in a tiny studio style apartment with a roomate and it cost about 700 dollars a month...but I know some people found cheaper housing...but it was living with roomates

£1,000/month upwards for 'Living in London'. Breakdown: - Rent: £565/month (for a studio flat) - Bills: £65 (council tax) + £25 (water, electricity, gas) + £30 (line rental, internet, mobile) = £120/month - Transport: £110/month - Food: £65/month - Leisure + shopping: £260/month Total: £1,120/month Rents for studio flats/1 beds in areas right outside London are not that much lower (£450/month upwards) and with the extra transport costs you'd incur, you wouldn't save much money. Definitely not enough to justify the longer commuting and living in an area which isn't served by the Tube.
