LEEDS! maybe only because I live there. But I think it is an amazing place to live because it's not too big like say London and it's not really small. It's very popular and both universities are regarded good. There's a lot of different cultures already living in Leeds and lots going on to make you comfortable. There's a thriving student base in Headingley with lots of student bars and discounts for students in most high street stores. The leedsliveitloveit site has a section especially for students to show the pros and cons of living here. Hope this helps.

Having lived in england over 5 years (two as a student in a boarding school) I've pretty much been all over. The best places to go as an international student would be cambridge (a strong 'college town' vibe") or london. London has it all and is very multinational. London's even better if you live more on the suburbs. As long as you live near a Tube stop you can get just about anywhere. Cornwall isn't that great, and the whole surfing thing is a misnomer as it's way to cold to surf most of the time (unless you fancy wearing a full wet suit). It's a nice historic town to live in, but apart from that it's a bit mundane to live in. Among the others you mentioned I think Avon might be the most fun, there's a lot going on there all the time.

Well Cornwall isn't a city and most definately isn't in England. Apart from that you'd have to elucidate on your description. What do you want from living here? Cornwall is very much slow moving in the business sense but fast paced with it's extreme sports and new media. It has warmer seas and warmer climate and is stunningly, outstandingly beautifull. It has shifted from an old peoples refuge of cream teas and scones to an exciting, modern nation with plenty to do.
