If you are English and live in England can you apply for college in the USA?

I've been wondering this for a while and would really like to know the answer.

Indeed you can. Just be aware that college in the USA for an international student costs over $35,000 per year and you cannot work in the US to cover any of the cost. It cost my family $90,000 over three years to let enable Canadian daughter transfer to a US school as a sophomore.
