Can any help pls I live in England, my fiancee is an American. is it possible that for my k1 application to be sent to my home country(not england)? We actually want to go home for our Engagement, we think it will be better to use my home country's US embassy for the K1 interview since we will be going for our engagement. Is it possible or the k1 approval letter to sent to my home country or better to do it in England? thanks

Where do you actually live? The embassy of the country where the visa application goes has to do a lot of background investigation and processing. It's not just an approval letter telling them to issue the visa. The final decision will be made at the embassy, not in the United States. It sounds like you could process the visa in either location. In any case, you'll need a police clearance from any country where you've lived for more than 6 months.

You can change your interview site. but you need to contact the embassy where you want the interview to take place and have them transfer the petition from England, assuming the petition's been approved and sent to London. If it hasn't been approved, then have your fiancee work with the National Visa Center to have it sent where you want it. However, if it hasn't been approved yet, it's pretty hard to predict exactly when that will happen, and you may well find it better to continue to have it done in London, or you may wind up going back to your home country a second time.
