Should I live in England for a year?

I'm thinking about live in in England for a while but everyone says negatives things it. What are some reasons to move there and what are some why I shouldn't?

negatives: cost of living is relatively high there. positives: you will greatly expand your experiences. Wish I could join you. By all means go for it. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

London is a nice place, living is expensive but the study is best.

Absolutely, yes, do it. Just be prepared for the cost of living tho. Make friends with people of all ages...they'll teach you how to manage your money...they are different from us in that way and you will learn something of value about money. I dreamed about doing exactly what you hope to do and didn't...got married instead, BIG mistake. I did get to live in another country tho...great experience and better memories. As an american, they'll have lots of questions to ask you so don't be surprise if they are mostly political. They know more about us that we know about them. Nothing like experience and certainly nothing like a great experience. Don't let anyone deter you from this dream. Enjoy youself and have a blast. You will never regret it.

Yes, England is beautiful, historic and interesting. Don't stick to London, it's hideously expensive and not worth more than a couple of weeks of your time. Visit the North of England, more beautiful, more friendly and cheaper to live in. I can't think why people would say negative things, I've lived elsewhere and always been glad to get home.
