Which Visa do i need to live in England

Which Visa do i need to live in England?
My boyfriend and i plan on moving to england in a year or so, im trying to figure out which visa i need. Ive looked at all the visa's, but the only one i can get is visiting(i think). With that visa i can only stay for 6 months, and i dont think i can work. How can i become a citizenship with that visa? Ive looked on every site i can find on information, and none of them have an answer. I want to become a citizen, so any advice would help thanks.

If you are a citizen of the EU then you do not need a visa to live here. However if you are from anywhere else you cannot just up sticks and move here. To move here to be able to live and work you will need a work permit, and to get one of those you must have a skill that is in high demand here. You can find all the rules and regulations at this government border agency site... http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/

if you have ancestors such as grandparents or parents of english origin either or your boyfriends or your side, you can move to england for up 5 years and then apply for citizenship and if there have been no mishaps you will probably get the visa. Honestly moving to the UK from a western country is very difficult unless you have the work skills they want...! IN some countries you have be eligable for the youth mobilty scheme too. try this website: http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/en/ and this one about ancestary: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/workingintheuk/uk-ancestry/
