There is no point coming over to the UK without funds of your own. The UK government will not help you out and you'll also be paying almost treble the tuition fees of EU residents when you go to a University in the UK. Rent is high aswell around $1200 per month for a Room plus utility expenses in London. Other areas in England are cheaper though.

That doesn't sound possible. Perhaps you should think about moving and studying, but in a different part of America if you are unhappy, a fresh start somewhere else? Here's something else you could think about (it's known as "sofa-surfing") if you just need a change of space for a while and if you can save up for your return ticket and spending money: http://www.roadjunky.com/guide/782/guide-to-sofa-surfing-free-hospitality You could come for say, 2 months and try and find a job whilst you're here too, although employment is very hard to find at the moment but if you have bar or restaurant experience you may be lucky. Sofa-surfing is available all over the world. Good luck. EDIT: This is a far better link: http://www.couchsurfing.org/ (It's also known as "couch surfing").

If you don't have money you will never get a student visa to study in the UK. To qualify for a visa you have to prove that you (or your parents) have enough money in the bank to cover international student fees and all living expenses for your first year. You cannot get any sort of financial assistance from the UK government as you are not a legal UK resident who has been paying taxes into the system. Why not go to a junior college in the US, work to save as much money as you can, then try to apply to a British university in a few years
